Beijing Pie! - LA area

So my friend heard about Beijing Pie House on the radio, so we decided to check it out. It's located in Monterey Park, CA. They have a lot of the usual Asian food, such as dumplings and noodles (soup and dry). They also have hot pot, but we went for what they are named after, the Beijing Pie! We also ordered other things, but the Beijing Pie was the most memorable.

Beijing Pie! The plate in the back is the order of lamb pie. The plate in the front is filled with pork and green onion.

The inside of the pork and green onion pie. What surprised me was that it was soupy inside! I expected it to be dry, but when I cut it open, all the soup started to leak out. The soup made it extra yummy!

Xiao Long Bao. Not the best. I had better at many other places. There wasn't a lot of soup in these.

I'm not a fan of lamb, but my friend that went with me preferred the pork and green onion pie over the lamb pie.

We also ordered Beijing Noodles, which is similar jajangmein. The noodles are handmade and super doughy, but it was pretty good.

Till next time!
